A bottle that talks about love…

I created the bottle commissioned by the Mayor of Castellina in Chianti, Marcello Bonechi, for the annual celebrations in honor of Saint Catherine of Siena, which ended last May 5, 2024. It contains the oil for the votive lamp dedicated to the fallen of the Second World War.

 

I was inspired by the words of Saint Catherine, particularly by a significant excerpt from her letter no. 8 addressed to Brother Giusto, prior of Monteoliveto.

– There is no need for anything but love; and love cannot be received except from love. –

I wrote this phrase multiple times on the bottle, as a sort of prayer for those who fell in the war. A small gesture to honor life and others.
